The Image Library

The Image Library is where uploaded images live — separate from any one Document, so you can reuse them and keep them organised.

Note

The Image Library is part of the paid PRO subscription. On the free tier you can still use images in your content by pasting an image URL (see Using an image below); uploading and managing files is a PRO feature.

Folders

  • My Images — your personal folder, visible only to you.
  • Publication folders — one per Publication, shared with that Publication's owner and any accepted Collaborators. A Publication's folder is created with the Publication.

Create sub-folders to organise by project, series, or shoot. Select images (and folders) to Move or delete them together.

Uploading

Open the Image Library from the side menu and use Upload Image, or drag files onto the window. Large batches upload a few at a time, each with its own progress.

Generated sizes

Every upload is automatically converted to WebP in a fixed set of sizes, constrained on the longest edge:

NameLongest edge
thumb300 px
600 px
1200 px
1800 px
max3000 px (cap)

Sizes larger than the original are skipped — images are never upscaled. A website showing your content picks the right size for each reader's screen automatically.

Using an image

As a Document's splash image, inside the body (the image button in the editor toolbar), or as a Publication's splash or logo image (its Config tab), opens the image picker with two tabs:

  • Library — browse your folders and pick an image (PRO). When the picker belongs to a Publication — a Publication's own splash/logo, or a Document that belongs to one — it opens in that Publication's folder; the All Images breadcrumb takes you back out to My Images and every other folder you can reach.
  • Image URL — paste the address of an image hosted anywhere.

For a body image you can then resize it and add alt text from its toolbar in the editor.
